According to tradition, this plant grew under the cross of Christ from the tears of the Virgin that fell to the ground. A monk once was sad because he could not learn to knit a rosary. Then the Virgin Mary appeared and asked him: "Why are you sad?" and he replied: "I can’ t learn to knit a rosary." Then the Virgin Mary gave him these seeds and told him: “Take my tears, cultivate them, make prayer rosaries and say: Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me. Holy Mary save us."
